Itinerary
DAY I – Arrival to Prishtina airport and transfer to the city. Orientation walk to get to know the city.
DAY II PRISHTINA
Prishtina walking tour exploring (Roman, Ottoman, Austro-Hungarian, Yugoslavian cultural heritage).
Prishtina walking tour which encompass the main sights as Ethnographic Museum (300 years old house), Bazaar Mosque, Clock tower, Bazaar, Yugoslavian Obelisk, city center, New Born – monumental of our Independence, Youth Sport center St. Teresa Cathedral and very wanted National library.
Lunch
After lunch, we go further to visit the iconic Monastery of Gracanica (UNESCO Listed Heritage) Ancient Ulpiana (the mos important archaeological site in Kosovo, representing ruins of top five most significant Roman towns in Balkan Peninsula) – Gadime Marble Cave very impressive and mysterious land mark in the region of Prishtina and Bear Sanctuary a hilarious place to see lovely grizzly bears having fun around. DAY III – PRIZREN
Walking tour in Prizren, The initial sightseeing city tour in Prizren takes you to the main attractions which manifest an impressive historic and cultural diversity and coexistence. It covers: Prizren old town, Albanian League of Prizren, stone bridge, Sofi Sinan Pasha mosque, Hamam of the town, Tekke helvetie, Orthodox St. Leviss Church, Catholic church, clock tower, St. Gorge church, Gazi Mehmet Pasha mosque!
Lunch
Right after a delicious local lunch we reach the famous Waterfalls of Mirusha, to enjoy this natural miracle and walk or hike around. Since we are nearby, we might use the chance to stop in – Wine Tasting in Rahovec Winery (Optional) Dinner in Prizren, overnight in Prizren!
DAY IV – GJAKOVA – DEQAN – PEJA
After Prizren, we keep immersing into the cultural cradle of Kosovo while moving to the surrounding beautiful town of Gjakova to see Gjakova Old Bazaar, Hadumi Mosque, Sheh Emini Tekke, St, Peter Catholic, Fshait Bridge and finally we go for a lunch into a panoramic place in Gjakova.
Right after lunch we move to town of Deqan, to visit the emblematic Orthodox Monastery of Deqan, (also UNESCO Cultural Heritage) and visit Kulla-s – Albanian towers, in the village of Isniq and Drenoc in Deqan. Such living buildings which represent Albanian authentic Architecture. Arrival in Peja for overnight.
DAY V- PEJA AND RUGOVA GORGE
Peja is the third city in Kosovo characterized with an interesting historic and cultural heritage but most famously for stunning landscape of Rugova Valley where Peja streches. Old Bazar, old mosque, Patriarchate of Peja, ethnographic museum, Waterfall of white drini!
Afternoon Free
Head to Rugova gorge/Liqenat, Boga (optional).
Day VI – MITROVICA
From Peja we head to Mitrovica city sightseeing, we visit the famous bridge over the Iber river which divides the town, we visit the mineral museum to introduce the under-earth of Kosovo. When in Mitrovica, we also go to visit Prekaz, historic complex of Jashari Family due the glorious history. After Prekaz, on the way to Prishtina we get the chance to see Gazimestan, monument of Battle of Kosovo (1389), and Sulltan Murad Mausoleum. Overnight in Prishtina
